Klara Marlene Fischer

The past year’s works explore the coexisting of vulnerability and control, gender and identity, and the space between devotion and resistance. They serve as a reference to the unspoken, set against the backdrop of utilized symbolism. Through self-created spaces, emotional states and memories are given the opportunity to be preserved. This results in works that move between photography, text, and installation elements. The combination of language and image acts as a bridge between inner experience and external representation. The more the works relate to the personal, the lived experience, the more challenging the process of handling, concealing, and packaging them becomes. In particular, the engagement with personal memories plays a central role—not as mere documentation, but as a desire to transfer fragments of experiences into new contexts.

Klara Marlene Fischer works and lives in Leipzig. Since 2020 she is studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig in the Painting Class of Prof. Kerstin Drechsel. Since 2024 she is also studying Installation and Space in the class of Prof. Joachim Blank.
